What is pharmaceutical 3D printing?

It builds a dosage form layer by layer from a digital recipe, instead of compressing or moulding it. The recipe controls dose, release and shape, so one validated formulation can produce many strengths and formats in small batches. FDA approved the first 3D-printed medicine in 2015.

What is CraftMake™, and who makes it?

CraftMake™ is a pharmaceutical 3D printing system developed by Craft Health in Singapore. PharmaTher is its exclusive North American distributor and handles sales, installation, training, materials and service across North America.

What dosage forms can it make?

Tablets (including multi-layer and dual-print), chewables and gummies (including liquid-core), mini-tablets, multi-layer capsules and oral dissolvable films. Release profiles include immediate, sustained, delayed/enteric and sequenced.

How accurate is the dose?

CraftMake Production Plus doses to within ±1% with repeatability above 99%. Every print run is recorded in CraftControl.

Can it print peptides and other heat-sensitive actives?

CraftMake prints at room temperature, with no heat or UV curing, so it avoids the main process stresses that degrade sensitive actives. Each active still needs formulation and stability work. Whether a particular peptide can be compounded depends on its regulatory status.

What's included when I buy a system?

The printer, a CraftControl software licence, installation, training and validation support, with CraftBlends materials, consumables, printheads and annual service available. We'll confirm warranty and starter-kit details in your proposal.

What does it cost?

It depends on the model, software, materials and service you choose. Ask us for a quote after a short conversation about your application.

Can PharmaTher develop a product for us?

Yes: feasibility, formulation and dosage-form design, analytical and stability work, and a validated digital recipe that can run on your system or ours.

Can you make products for us if we don't want to buy a system?

Yes. We offer small-batch, clinical trial and white-label supply through our Center of Excellence and GMP manufacturing partner, depending on the product's regulatory pathway.

Is CraftMake™ FDA-approved?

FDA doesn't approve manufacturing equipment; it regulates drug products and the facilities that make them. CraftMake is designed for GMP environments, and we support installation qualification. What you make with it is regulated according to its pathway: 503A or 503B compounding, an IND or NDA, or a supplement.

Can a 503A pharmacy use CraftMake™?

Yes. It was built for compounding pharmacies. Compounding with CraftMake follows the same rules as any compounding: patient-specific prescriptions, eligible substances, USP \<795\> and state board requirements. We provide training and support with standard operating procedures.

Can I see it before I buy?

Yes. Schedule a meeting and we'll arrange the best way for you to see CraftMake in action. For qualified projects we can also assess feasibility with your formulation.
